Mrs Bolanle Akinwunmi Ambode
will automatically become the first lady of Lagos State when her
husband, Akinwunmi
Ambode will be sworn-in on May 29 as the Governor-elect of the state.
Now let us get you a bit closer to the dark-skinned, tolerant and easy
going hardworking woman who is said to be the
apple of her husband’s eyes.
Mrs Bolanle Akinwunmi Ambode was born into the Odukomaiya family in
Epe, on the 15th of February, 1964. She attended St. Theresa’s
College, Ibadan, Oyo State, before gaining admission into Lagos State
University (LASU), Ojo to study Physics and
graduated in 1989. She later had her Masters degree (MSc) in Public

Mrs. Ambode had worked in
different organisation before she finally found love in the kitchen. She then travelled
to Israel to attend short courses in Bakery Technology. She returned shortly
and started her bakery business called, Rehoboth Chops and Confectioneries
Limited, based in Ogba.
Mrs Bolanle Akinwunmi met
the governor elect during her days in LASU and they got married in 1991. The
marriage is blessed with twins, a boy and a girl.
Mrs Akinwunmi is loved by a lot of people because of her charity work. She is a cheerful giver and donates endlessly to motherless babies homes.
